Το χαμόγελο...
... το χαμόγελο δεν στοιχίζει τίποτε, όμως δημιουργεί πολλά... πλουτίζει αυτούς που το παίρνουν, χωρίς να φτωχαίνει αυτούς που το δίνουν.
Μια στιγμούλα είναι η ζωή του κι όμως η ανάμνησή του διαρκεί κάποιες φορές αιώνια... δεν υπάρχει κανένας τόσο πλούσιος που να μπορεί να κάνει χωρίς αυτό... και κανένας τόσο φτωχός, όσο αυτός που το στερείτε. Δημιουργεί ευτυχία μέσα στο σπίτι, δίνει χαρά στη καθημερινή δουλειά... είναι μια ανάπαυση για τους κουρασμένους, ένα ηλιόφωτο για τους θλιμμένους, το καλύτερο αντίδοτο που έχει η φύση για τις στενοχώριες.
Κι όμως, δεν μπορείς ούτε να το αγοράσεις, ούτε να το ζητιανέψεις, ούτε να το δανειστείς ή να το κλέψεις, γιατί δεν ωφελεί σε τιποτε, αξίζει μόνο αν σου το χαρίσουν... κι αν βρεθεί κάποιος, που κουρασμένος και απογοητευμένος απ' τη ζωή, δεν σας χαρίσει ένα χαμόγελο, θα έχετε την καλοσύνη να του δώσετε ένα δικό σας.
Γιατί κανένας δεν έχει τόση ανάγκη από ένα χαμόγελο, όσο αυτός που δεν του απέμεινε πια κανένα για να το χαρίσει...
